Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Selby, YO8, seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a temporary assignment on a 2–5 bed new build housing development. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate the site team, manage trades and health and safety compliance.

The role requires 3+ years on volume housing sites with UK housebuilders, strong organisation, and effective communication to drive on-time handovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Assistant Manager on new build housing sites.
• Proven experience running/ assisting sites for recognised UK housebuilders.
• Consistent, long-term roles showing Assistant Site management stability.
• Up-to-date SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure build programmes are achieved.
• Lead and coordinate the site team and manage trades, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, NHBC standards and company quality procedures.
• Lead on snagging, customer care, and handover standards.
• Prepare Health & Safety file and site progress reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments, inspectors, and client.
• Maintain site facilities, welfare, toilets, offices, and security.
• Open and close site facilities, manage preliminaries.
