Job summary

Apollo After School in the United States is seeking an Assistant Site Director for the Brookside, NJ area. You will oversee the after-school program, ensure safety, and coordinate activities with staff, parents, and school partners. This seasonal role runs per the school calendar and requires strong leadership and childcare aptitude.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of youth program management, a HS diploma (or equivalent) and are comfortable supervising a team of instructors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience working with school-age youth, ages 4-10, in a school/after-school setting.
• Applicants must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in management with at least 5 employees as direct reports.
• Associate’s Degree -or- Equivalent Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality learning environment and manage activities that extend the school day.
• Manage daily program operations and logistics, in coordination with Apollo leadership.
• Ensure the safety and security of children enrolled.
• Supervise all aspects of your site’s before and after-school program.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, parents, school staff, and administration; communicate regularly during pick-up times.
