Job summary

Flow Control Group in West Springfield, MA is seeking an Assistant Shop Technician to support daily shop operations, assist with repair and maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves, blowers, and vacuum pumps, and perform tasks both in the repair facility and at customer sites.

You will complete inspections, coordinate shipping, and contribute to coating applications, grinding and precision measurements, while following OSHA regulations and maintaining a safe, clean

Qualifications

• Assist with teardown and inspections of equipment.
• Prepare paperwork for items to be repaired or serviced.
• Support sandblasting and coating applications.
• Document incoming condition and inspect equipment.
• Maintain shop housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Assist with pump removal, installation, and alignment tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial inspection and required paperwork for all items to be repaired or serviced.
• Assist Shop Technicians with teardown and inspections of equipment.
• Coordinate shipping of customer equipment and document conditions.
• Assist with sandblasting responsibilities.
• Maintain and complete required paperwork and timesheets.
• Assist Management with OSHA compliance.
