Job summary

Take 5 Oil Change in Fort Worth, TX is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to lead a fast-paced service team on the shop floor. You’ll support the Shop Manager with daily operations, team development, and a fast, friendly customer experience while acting as Manager on Duty when needed.

We provide paid hands-on training to teach the Take 5 service standards. Automotive experience is valued but not required, and strong performance can lead to promotions into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 6 months customer service experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• 6 months experience leading, coaching, or mentoring others.
• Commitment to following facility and safety policies.
• Strong communication skills to provide direction and feedback.
• Initiative, accountability, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Calm, organized and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Must meet age and certification requirements, including Inspector Certification when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete our Certified Technician training.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and coordinate workflow.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and resolve concerns.
• Ensure services are completed accurately, safely, and to standards.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take on leadership tasks.
• Train new team members and provide real-time coaching.
• Perform all Certified Technician and Lead Technician responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with daily inventory counts and adjustments.
• Support shop communication, reporting, and follow-up.
