Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree in Logistics, business or related field preferred.
• Five+ years of experience as a shipping manager is required.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures and compliance.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience budgeting and generating reports; team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, transportation and other managers to optimize processes.
• Lead shipping supervisors and team to meet targets and timelines.
• Use systems/tools to track, check, and prioritize orders.
• Determine daily labor needs and assign staff by priority.
• Direct flow of loads and ensure proper staging.
• Manage all shipping documents and spreadsheets.
• Inspect labels, barcodes and finished orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Oversee forklift testing/certification.
• Manage customer cart return process.
• Report to management on activities and issues.

JOB SUMMARY:Manage daily shipping and distribution operations. Ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. Must be analytical, well-organized and excel in communication. Must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have strong knowledge of shipping procedures.
