Monarch Casino Resort Spa Black Hawk in Black Hawk, Colorado is seeking a Poker Assistant Shift Manager to oversee poker operations, supervise staff on a shift-to-shift basis, and ensure guest satisfaction with a premium experience. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
• 1 year of previous dealing experience preferred.
• Previous supervisor experience a plus.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to speak and write English.
• Strong mathematical skills and basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand for the duration of the shift and perform physical tasks.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Job Title: Poker Assistant Shift Manager

Salary: $65,000

Status: Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Protect company assets.
• Maintain an accurate bank and ensure all assets are guarded and protected at all times.
• Manage, direct, and supervise all personnel on a shift-to-shift basis.
• Evaluate business levels and maintain appropriate staffing while maximizing labor and minimizing payroll expense.
• Fulfillment of all guest service needs, including host, cashier, verification, and payment of jackpots and bonus hands.
• Maintain accurate records for all daily promotions.
• Generate player cards, comp slips, and ensure accurate player tracking.
• Taking and placing food orders with the necessary follow-up to ensure that the order arrives on time and is accurate.
• Monitor service standards of food and beverage personnel to ensure the established guest service standards are met by those departments.
• Maintain payroll records, protect and control all department keys and assets.
• Other related duties, including but not limited to complying with and understanding the following: Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures. Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, Company policies and IRS reporting.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
• 1year of previous dealing experience preferred.
• Previous supervisor experiencea plus.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and other departments.
• Must possess excellent guest service and communication skills with the ability to deal with guests.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to speak and write English.
• Ability to communicate information through spoken words and sentences that others will understand.
• Ability to read and understand information and instructions presented in writing.
• Strong general mathematical skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must have the ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and continuously use hands.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
