The Service Technician is responsible for the general repair request and upkeep of all of the apartment buildings and grounds. The Assistant Service Technician will diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall. At times, escalate issues to the Service Manager and/or specialized vendors to complete repairs.

A day IN the life:

• Perform general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.
• Complete service requests for property and amenity repairs quickly and efficiently.
• Adhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Perform routine make-ready maintenance on vacant units before new occupancy.
• Conduct 15-minute inspections weekly and participate in preventative maintenance to include pool, exterior lighting, filter changes, company-provided equipment, and apartment inspections.
• Test pool water, record findings daily (frequency depending ontheseason), clean skimmer baskets, vacuum pool, and add chemicals, clean pool tiles, and other surfaces as needed.
• May perform housekeeper and groundskeeper duties as required, based on property size.
• Properly maintain chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Occasional needs to utilize personal transportation to inspect the apartment community and surrounding neighborhood andvisit the corporate office.

Qualities we are INTERESTED in:

• High School diploma, or general equivalent degree (GED)
• One year of previous experience in maintenance or facilities field
• Previous experience in residential property management a plus
• Valid Driver’s License
• EPA Certification Type II or greater
• Must be available towork days, nights, evenings, and weekends, and on-call as necessary.
