Job summary

TAS Energy in Houston, TX seeks an Assistant Service Project Manager (SPM1) to support senior PMs in managing service projects. You will assist planning, SOR reviews, material sourcing, and cross-team coordination to ensure on-site requirements are met and milestones achieved.

The role requires strong organizational skills, travel flexibility to sites, and collaboration with engineering, purchasing, QA, and operations while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with modular equipment installation or service of mechanical equipment.
• Trade school or military training can substitute.
• Proven work history in mechanical or electrical equipment installation/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning from ready-to-ship turnover to client sign-off.
• Review or create Scope of Responsibility (SOR) with PM team.
• Review SOR with client site management to prevent scope creep.
• Assist in sourcing missing materials during assembly.
• Coordinate materials and labor after shipping deviations and arrange manpower.
• Attend site progress meetings, pull planning, and CX site meetings.
• Manage site team activities and resource allocation through installation and precommissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, QA and PM teams to meet on-site requirements.
• Travel to sites as needed; manage BIM closure and safety training.
