Job summary

TAS Energy Inc in Houston is seeking an Assistant Service Project Manager to support project management for service projects. You will assist in various project phases, ensuring oversight from turnover to client sign-off.

Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Assistant Service Project Manager (SPM1) supports SPMs in managing one or more Service projects, taking direction from an SPM2 and learning the basics of Site Project Management of TAS products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support duties and activities assigned to SPM1 or SPM2, including oversight and planning for projects from “ready to Ship” turnover to final client sign-off.
  • Review contract Scope of Responsibility Matrix (SOR), or create if unavailable, and review SOR with client’s site management team and Contractor leads to prevent scope creep.
  • Assist Production in identifying and sourcing critical missing materials during the Assembly phase.
  • Participate with Production, PM and QA to agree on Ready to Ship Turnover, including sign-offs for “released to split”, “BIM/Punchlist/shipping deviations” and “shipped Loose List”.
  • Coordinate incomplete materials and labor resulting from shipping deviations before modules arrive on‑site and arrange for appropriate manpower for any completions work required.
  • Attend site progress meetings, pull planning, and CX site meetings via Teams or in person.
  • Manage the site team activities and resource allocation through installation, completions work and pre‑commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, quality control, and project management to ensure on‑site project requirements are met.
  • Review commissioning SOR with the Commissioning Manager and assist in scheduling labor subcontractors during commissioning.
  • Manage material suppliers to address scope, commercial, and schedule matters after project shipment.
  • Travel to sites as needed for customer issues, manpower, and coordination.
  • Manage BIM issue closure with the TAS site team.
  • Ensure site‑team safety and required training are met for client’s requirements.
  • Initiate and plan budget for site issue remediation projects.
  • Update the site summary report weekly for all assigned project sites.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
JOB SKILLS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with modular equipment installation or service of mechanical equipment. Trade school, military training, or other mechanical or electrical training can be a substitute.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven work history as a Field Engineer for mechanical or electrical equipment installation and/or maintenance.
  • Understanding of industrial mechanical or electrical equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily site‑based with a mix of office work, job site, and production floor duties. Ability to travel to job sites as required. Occasional moving of up to 50lbs of materials. Steel‑toe boots and safety glasses required in shop areas or job sites.
