Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Rome, NY is looking for an Assistant Service Center Manager to lead a high-performing team on the floor, perform oil changes, and ensure a superior guest experience.

You will train hourly teammates, build weekly schedules, supervise operations, assist with audits and inventory, and open/close the center while maintaining a safe, clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of supervisory experience required (coaching, training, and supervising a team).
• Customer service mindset and ability to build loyalty while following procedures.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
• Experience using KPI data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Schedule flexibility including weekend availability, with no late nights or holidays typical.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and maintenance tasks and educate guests on vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Supervise hourly staff and train new team members to maintain service standards.
• Open and close the service center, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
• Develop and maintain efficient weekly work schedules for employees and manage conflicts.
• Assist with inventory, store audits, and maintaining a clean, organized service center.
