Job summary

Tom Wood Honda in Anderson, IN is transitioning to a brand-new facility in Whitestown, IN, with openings in late 2026 and 2027. The Assistant Service Advisor will support the service team, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience, accurate documentation, and clear communication throughout repairs.

This role offers growth into a Service Advisor role within a fast-paced dealership environment, with PTO, holidays, insurance, 401(k), life and disability coverage, and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (Xtime, Dealertrack, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional greeting to every client.
• Actively listen to customer concerns and explain service recommendations clearly.
• Maintain communication regarding repair status, timelines, and needs.
• Build long‑term customer relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
• Accurately write repair orders reflecting customer concerns and technician findings.
• Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Review completed work with customers and explain findings clearly.

What You’ll Do

• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition
• Achieve service sales goals while maintaining honesty, transparency, and trust
• Promote dealership programs, warranties, and service packages

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (Xtime, Dealertrack, etc.)
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury brand
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
