Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Security Assistant Manager to support daily security operations and lead a team dedicated to guest and employee safety. You will provide guidance, respond to escalated situations, and serve as a key link between leadership and frontline security personnel to ensure policy compliance.

You will conduct briefings, manage scheduling and development, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Experience in security or leadership within a hotel, resort, casino, or similar environment.
• Familiarity with security reporting, incident documentation, surveillance or dispatch operations.

THE JOB:

As a Security Assistant Manager, you will support daily Security operations while leading and developing a team dedicated to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and employees. You will provide operational guidance, respond to escalated situations, and serve as a key connection between departmental leadership and frontline Security personnel to ensure consistent execution of policies, safety procedures, and company objectives.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee daily Security operations, providing direction, guidance, and support to Security personnel to ensure effective departmental performance.
• Lead talent management responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, employee development, and scheduling.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefings to communicate operational updates, security concerns, departmental priorities, and leadership expectations.
• Respond to and resolve escalated guest, employee, and security-related incidents while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
• Support departmental leadership in implementing operational initiatives, communicating expectations, and achieving company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety protocols, company policies, and established departmental procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments, Security leadership, and emergency responders to coordinate incident response and address operational challenges.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Previous Security or leadership experience within a hotel, resort, casino, or similar operational environment, including familiarity with Security reporting systems, incident documentation, and surveillance or dispatch operations.
