Assistant School Director

Primrose School of Kingwood – 2311 Green Oak Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339. Private preschool seeking an Assistant Director to support the Director in ensuring high‑quality early childhood education and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Kingwood and relevant local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
• Assume responsibility for managing the operation of the school in the Director’s absence.
• Assist the Director with management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
• Possess knowledge of and adhere to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws.
• Assist in maintaining the school’s physical environment to be well kept, attractive, and safe.
• Provide verbal recognition to children while setting clear and consistent expectations for behavior.
• Be capable of performing all essential functions of the position, including other leadership team roles, teacher, food‑service teacher, and bus driver.
• Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance in line with the Primrose School of Kingwood Employee Handbook guidelines.
• Assist in additional capacities as directed by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Meet the requirements of the local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Kingwood.
• Hold a degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field, or possess at least two years of experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten, or early childhood program.
• Have experience in management, business, and/or public relations.
• Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. when handling children, facilitating programs, ensuring child safety, or in emergency situations.
