Primrose School of Kingwood located at 2311 Green Oak, Kingwood, Texas, 77339 is seeking an Office Support Assistant for our private preschool. We are looking for someone who has both teaching experience and customer service skills.
The Office Assistant will need to function in any capacity within the facility, including filling in as a classroom teacher or performing administrative duties. He or she must have a good understanding of childcare management and early education.
The office assistant must be able to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the school, including, but not limited to, certain leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver.

This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation. They will need to promote the Primrose School of Kingwood in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability.
The Office Assistant / Classroom Support helps with the day‑to‑day and overall operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines while supporting our mission to enhance learning and development for each child. With guidance from the Director, he or she ensures the staff provides the best possible learning and care experience for the children in our programs, oversees the curriculum, and markets the facility and our programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers
- Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Kingwood and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
- Assist the Leadership team with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit
- Know and adhere to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws
- Assist in keeping the school physically well‑kept, attractive, and safe
- Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
- Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
- Maintain overall professional personal appearance in accordance with the Primrose School of Kingwood Employee Handbook
- Assist in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines is necessary
Qualifications and Experience
- Must meet the requirements of local child‑care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Kingwood
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least two years’ work experience in a licensed child‑care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred
- Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
- Must be 25 or older, have a clean driving record, and willing to drive a small bus
