Job summary

Foothills Child Development Center is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the School Age group. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be 18 years old with the ability to pass background checks. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Foothills Child Development is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age groups: School Age.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma or GED, the ability to pass all background checks, and candidates must be 18 years of age. A plus if you have previous childcare experience.

Required Shift

Monday - Friday: 9:30am - 6:30pm

Compensation

$14-16 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
