Job summary

Foothills Child Development is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the School Age program. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks, and being 18 or older, with childcare experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Job Overview

Foothills Child Development is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age group: School Age.
