Job description

In coordination with vendors, the Merchandise department, stores, and FS management, this role determines the optimum purchase quantities of promotional and sell-through products by vendor and month. This is a hybrid role, reporting to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week.

Primary Duties

1. Select promotional merchandise to prebuy for Franchisees.
2. Reach out to vendors to request deals for AMLP-only promotions.
3. Maintain and consolidate spreadsheets with monthly promotions across all categories; proof monthly magazine.
4. Serve as the main contact for merchandising marketing materials.
5. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders (vendors, merchandise staff, marketing, FS management) via group calls; gather and consolidate input on product info, trends, needs, and plan adjustments. Build scorecards and tracking tools for current promotions and incentives.
6. Provide administrative support by managing paperwork related to planning functions and other duties as needed.
7. Generate weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports on sales trends, risks, and opportunities by vendor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, math, or statistics preferred.
• Experience in data analysis, problem solving, and reporting (months in similar roles).
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of retail metrics is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.
• Professional communication and relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and management levels.
• Ability to articulate logic and rationale clearly.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Standard office environment with typical safety precautions. The workspace is well-lit, heated, and ventilated.
• Primarily sedentary work; may include walking, standing, bending, light carrying, keyboard use, and driving. No special physical demands required.
