Job summary

OneWater Marine is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager in Destin, Florida to support sales operations and drive growth. In this role, you will assist in developing sales strategies, monitor team performance, and provide exceptional customer service while training new sales associates.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the marine industry, and strong leadership skills. A collaborative work environment with ongoing training is provided to ensure success.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the marine industry or retail.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Job description

Position Summary

The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the sales department. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, providing excellent customer service, managing inventory, and assisting in the training and development of the sales team. The Assistant Sales Manager will work closely with the management team to ensure that sales targets and operational goals are met while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sales Manager in developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Monitor daily sales activity and performance metrics, providing coaching and feedback to the sales team to improve results.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to ensure a high level of performance and customer service. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Train and mentor new sales associates, helping them understand product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
  • Ensure that the sales team delivers exceptional customer service, building long-term relationships with clients and ensuring their satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels of boats, accessories, and related products.
  • Stay updated on the latest marine products and trends, ensuring that the sales team is knowledgeable and equipped to sell effectively.
  • Support the Sales Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Assist with preparing sales reports and maintaining records of sales transactions, customer information, and inventory.
