Responsibilities

• Support the safety team with routine jobsite visits, safety observations, inspections, and follow up on hazards.
• Learn and apply OSHA requirements and jobsite expectations under supervision.
• Promote a strong safety culture through awareness, participation, and open communication.
• Assist with SafetyHQ reporting, tracking, and documentation.
• Maintain safety records, reports, training docs, inspection forms.
• Assist incident reviews by gathering facts, photos, and statements.
• Support safety training preparation on topics like LOTO, Fall Protection.
• Conduct work observations to identify unsafe acts/conditions.
• Build positive relationships with foremen, field teams, clients, and supervisors.
• Travel to Indiana jobsites to provide safety support.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

This development-focused role supports the Safety Director and safety team across mechanical insulation and scaffolding projects within industrial and commercial environments. As an integral member of the safety team, this position offers the opportunity to gain practical field experience while supporting employee safety and operational excellence. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the safety team with routine jobsite visits, safety observations, inspections, and follow up on identified hazards or concerns.
• Learn and apply company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite expectations under the direction of the Safety Director and other safety team members.
• Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging awareness, participation, and open communication with employees and supervisors.
• Assist with SafetyHQ reporting, tracking, documentation, and employee support as needed.
• Help prepare, organize, and maintain safety records, reports, training documentation, inspection forms, and related materials.
• Participate in incident review and follow up by helping gather facts, photos, statements, and other documentation needed to support root cause review and corrective actions.
• Assist with safety training preparation and support, including topics such as Confined Space Entry, LOTO, Fall Protection, Equipment Operation, and First Aid/CPR.
• Conduct work observations to help identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and opportunities for coaching or improvement.
• Build positive working relationships with foremen, field employees, project teams, clients, and supervisors.
• Travel to various jobsites, primarily in Indiana, to provide safety support and gain field experience.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Construction Safety, or a related field, or expected completion within the next year.
• Internship, co-op, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or field experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites as needed.
• Comfortable working in active field, industrial, and commercial jobsite environments.
• Must successfully pass drug testing, background, and driving record checks, in accordance with company policies and standards.
