Scheduled Days:

Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays observed by the USPS on an as-needed basis. During onboarding, ARCs must be available for training on weekdays.

Driving Required:

Applicants should have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience in the U.S. or its territories or U.S. military installations worldwide. A personal vehicle may be required.

Salary Range:

$20.38 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Functional Purpose:

Using dynamic route descriptions, delivers packages on Sundays and observed holidays. May also case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.

Responsibilities:
  1. Loads packages in delivery sequence in vehicle.
  2. Delivers packages to customers along a prescribed route.
  3. Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
  4. Receives and signs for accountable mail.
  5. Loads mail and packages in vehicle.
  6. Delivers mail and packages to customers, collects monies and receipts, and picks up mail from roadside boxes.
  7. Provides routine postal information to customers.
  8. Returns collected mail, undeliverable mail, and submits receipts to the post office.
  9. Prepares time records and ensures mail security at all times.
  10. May be required to provide a vehicle for delivery if not provided by the employer.
Additional Information:

ARCs are non-career employees providing delivery and collection services along rural routes, including delivering parcels weighing up to 70 pounds. Candidates may need to have a suitable vehicle and live within easy commuting distance. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions.
