Job Requirements

Starting Pay Rate: $17.00/hr

An Assistant Retail Maintenance Technician ensures the store runs smoothly by handling electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting repairs. You'll perform inspections, fix issues quickly, and keep everything in top shape to create a safe, functional environment for both customers and staff.

Your day-to-day as an Assistant Retail Maintenance Tech:

• Performing daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work orders for SavOn and Marina locations, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance on self-contained refrigeration units and food service equipment such as fryers, warmers and pizza ovens.
• Participating in remodeling projects which may require light carpentry, pressure washing, assembly of store fixtures, painting, minor electrical, and finish restoration.

To be successful as an Assistant Retail Maintenance Technician, you'll need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to five years’ experience in a similar maintenance position.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, light carpentry and construction.
• Must have 30-hour OSHA construction, 40-hour Hazwoper and Level 1 HVAC certifications.
