Job summary

The Mather Tysons is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager to help oversee daily restaurant operations on-site in Tysons, VA. You will train staff, handle resident and guest concerns, and support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

We seek individuals who multitask well in a fast-paced setting, with proficiency in Windows apps and POS systems, and a commitment to food-safety standards. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Progressive experience in an upscale restaurant and/or Life Plan community.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and make independent decisions.
• Proficient in Windows applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable in Point-of-Sale systems.
• Knowledgeable in job related federal, state, and local regulations to ensure safe and clean dining environment.
• Certification in food safety/sanitation and BASSET.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Restaurant Manager in staff training, scheduling and performance management.
• Manages reservation system and assigns server sections during meal periods.
• Ensures smooth flow of guests for a positive dining experience.
• Supervises service flow for residents, guests, family members and staff.
• Inspects workstations and ensures completion of side work.
• Addresses resident feedback promptly and professionally.
• Maintains communication with Restaurant Manager, Director of Restaurants and Executive Chef.
