Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operation of the restaurant and related food & beverage outlets at Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach. You will help recruit, train, schedule, and coach staff while ensuring exceptional guest service and financial performance.

Responsibilities include monitoring payroll, coordinating reservations for events, and maintaining inventory with strong emphasis on safety and compliance with health and liquor regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading food and beverage teams in a resort/hotel setting.
• Ability to manage staffing, payroll, and inventory in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations and staff supervision.
• Monitor departmental expenses and communicate concerns to the Restaurant Manager.
• Coordinate group reservations for restaurant, banquets, and bar services.
• Oversee events and promotions in coordination with food & beverage teams.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings, supervise performance, and coach staff as needed.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and service standards across all outlets.
