Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality operates Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach and is seeking a bartender/barback to support beverage service across the resort outlets. Responsibilities include preparing drinks, maintaining bar areas, and assisting restaurant staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements include knowledge of beverages, adherence to liquor regulations, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware and garnishes.
• Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state liquor regulations.
• Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel.
• Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurants, in accordance with service standards.
• Anticipate Guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all Guests, making recommendations from guests’ preferences.
• Take Guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
• Complete opening duties as assigned, including check quality and quantity of all bar stock and supplies using checklist.
• Record orders of guests into the point-of-sale system and receive payment following service procedures.
