Position Description

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will assist the General Manager in restaurant operations and achieving sales and profit goals through the implementation, management, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. You will provide direction for restaurant staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction, proper execution of employee duties, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing restaurant administration and operations manpower.
  • Achieve profit targets while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Handle cash, credit card information, gift cards, and all payment-related transactions properly.
  • Assist in staffing, recruitment, training, and new hire orientation.
  • Attend Perkins University and complete all coursework successfully.
  • Maintain ServSafe certification.
  • Perform all restaurant functions and assist where needed.
  • Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
  • Monitor food temperatures to reduce foodborne illness risks.
  • Manage staffing to meet productivity and service standards.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, safety, and sanitation.
  • Maintain inventory levels for food and non-food items efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve system issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage financial data, including payroll, cash, receipts, food costs, and expenses; review financial reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and deliver presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • One to two years of supervisory experience, preferably in food service.
  • High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with employees, guests, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements / Environment / Work Conditions:
  • Extensive standing and operating a cash register.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
  • Bending, reaching, walking.
  • Ability to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet.
  • High mobility and flexibility.
  • Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide.
  • Work irregular hours during busy times under pressure.
  • Carry trays weighing 20 pounds for up to 30 feet.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
