ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Assistant Restaurant Managers, under the supervision of the General Manager, are responsible for the day-to-day operations of their restaurant. They direct restaurant operations to ensure compliance with brand and health & safety standards, along with acceptable financial performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Assist with administrative duties, including ordering, receiving, inventory, scheduling, and vendor invoice management.
  2. Source, interview, and hire candidates; train team members; delegate tasks; evaluate performance; and discipline as needed.
  3. Oversee all daily financial responsibilities (cash handling, deposits, comps, voids, etc.).
  4. Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints.
  5. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and facilities to adhere to health and safety regulations.
  6. Support marketing strategies, including advertising and promotional campaigns to increase business.
  7. Lead by example, embodying the culture and philosophies of the organization, and foster mentoring relationships.
  8. Provide performance feedback and support professional development of team members.
  9. Work effectively with management and team members, using initiative, judgment, and discretion to organize work and achieve goals.
  10. Handle Fan complaints appropriately.
  11. Operate computers and related hardware/software (MS Office, internet, LMS, etc.).
  12. Perform duties of Service Assistant, Line Cook, Server, or Bartender when needed.
  13. Assist in other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with Fans and team members.
  • Stand and walk 100% of the shift.
  • Frequently reach, bend, and wipe.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., up to 20 times per shift; place items on high shelves or in coolers/freezers.
  • Work in damp, hot environments, and with open flames.
  • Use sharp knives and kitchen machinery safely.
  • Hold items with hands for extended periods, with up to 5 lbs. of weight.

Salary ranges from $59,000 to $67,000 USD per year.
