Job summary

SSP America is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee operations at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. You will lead a fast-paced team, ensure top service, and maintain brand standards in a high-volume setting.

The role requires 2+ years in restaurant management, with bar management experience preferred, strong MS Office and POS skills, and the ability to coordinate scheduling, inventory, and payroll.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in restaurants in a management/supervisory capacity with 1 year of bar management experience preferred.
• Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and POS systems.
• Strong organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.
• Ability to interact with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage all food and customer service activities and evaluate team performance.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of Food Travel Experts; allocate daily goals and tasks.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and brand standards.
• Monitor inventory, merchandise displays, and food quality standards.
• Handle office tasks including staff management, payroll, and scheduling.
• Assist in forecasting sales and monitoring performance through reports.
• Address routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage All Food and Customer Service Activities:Manage, supervise and evaluate Team Member performance through follow-up to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and goals and provides feedback including disciplinary action.
• Lead and Develop Team:Recruit, train, and communicate with team of Food Travel Experts. Develop, plan and assign daily goals, tasks and Team Member assignments. Implement and maintain guest service standards and brand specifications fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Systems and Processes:Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedure.
• Merchandising and Displays:Maintain all food standards and monitor inventory levels.
• Office Management:Handle tasks such as management of staff, receiving, inventory, purchasing, team member scheduling and payroll.
• Forecasting and Budgeting:Assist in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports.
• Problem Solving:Address routine issues and escalade complex problems to higher management as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background:High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• Experience:2+ years in restaurants in a management/supervisory capacity with 1 year of bar management experience preferred.
• Technical Skills:Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Effective organizational maturity to prioritize daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.
• Interpersonal Skills:Ability to interact at all levels, including with executives, union representatives, and diverse hourly team members. Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers and direct reports.
