Job summary

CEC Entertainment, LLC is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager for Chuck E. Cheese in Mentor, OH. You will support senior management, driving guest satisfaction, sales, and operational excellence while leading daily operations and staffing.

You will coach the team, manage scheduling, control costs, and ensure safety and cleanliness. The role rotates through Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom AOIs to develop broad leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
• High‑school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age (or age approved by local law for alcohol service).
• Minimum one (1) year of experience managing people, preferably in the food‑service industry, or at least six (6) months as an Opening Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Make daily decisions on time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and guest service standards.

• Coach and inspire staff to deliver outstanding guest service while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Understand cost‑control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management.
• Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) and rotate through the four core areas: Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom.
• Kitchen AOI: Manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and cleanliness; oversee pizza dough preparation from scratch, cooking pizza and other menu items.
• Sales AOI: Oversee the cashier, salad bar, gift shop, upselling programs, inventory, ordering, execution, and profitability; assure salad‑bar quality and prep procedures.
• Showroom AOI: Lead birthday party execution and planning, maximize bookings & guest satisfaction, and optimize showroom seating.
• Gameroom AOI: Partner with the Technical Manager to maintain games and equipment, analyze gameplay data and ticket payouts, and keep the gameroom clean and guest ready.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Lift or carry objects weighing 0‑50lb during scheduled shift.
• Stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat as required.
• Work environment includes flashing/flickering lights, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, exposure to wet, humid, and extreme heat or cold conditions.
