Job summary

Chuck E. Cheese is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead a high-energy team in a beloved family entertainment environment. You’ll drive guest satisfaction, coach staff, and manage daily operations to ensure a safe, fun, and efficient venue.

You’ll oversee scheduling, training, and performance, while guiding cost control and inventory. This role offers opportunities to rotate through Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (local law may permit younger hires for specific duties).
  • Minimum of one year of experience managing people, preferably in food service, or as Opening Coordinator for at least six months.

Responsibilities

  • Make daily decisions involving time management, staffing, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
  • Build sales and maximize profits by recruiting, training, and motivating your team to meet company expectations.
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Understand cost control, inventory, financials, and labor management.
  • Take ownership of an AOI and rotate through Kitchen, Sales, Showroom, and Gameroom areas with responsibilities such as ordering, food safety, party execution, and game-room upkeep.

Compensation Details

$19.97 - $22.19 per hour

Commission Details

Exempt: Commission potential from $0.50 to $10.00 for each Membership you sell, and from $0.15 to $3.00 for each Fun Pass you sell. Paid out bi‑weekly (unless state law requires otherwise).

Non‑Exempt: Commission potential from $2.00 to $8.00 for each Membership you sell, and from $0.60 to $2.40 for each Fun Pass you sell. Paid out bi‑weekly (unless state law requires otherwise).

Job Responsibilities
  • Make daily decisions that involve time management, staff scheduling, cleanliness, and upholding product and guest service standards.
  • Build sales and maximize profits by effectively recruiting, training, developing, and motivating your team to meet company and guest expectations.
  • Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
  • Understand cost control procedures, inventory, financials, and labor management.
  • Take ownership of an Area of Impact (AOI) in one of four areas and, over time, complete a rotation in each: Kitchen – manage product ordering, food safety, scheduling, and cleanliness; oversee pizza dough preparation from scratch, cook pizza, and other Chuck E. menu items.
    Sales – oversee the Cashier, Salad Bar, and Gift Shop; monitor sales results (including upselling and suggestive selling programs); handle inventory, ordering, execution, and profitability management of the merchandise area; ensure quality assurance of the Salad Bar and prep procedures.
    Showroom – lead birthday party execution and planning; maximize party bookings and guest satisfaction while optimizing showroom seating.
    Gameroom – partner with the Technical Manager to keep games and restaurant equipment in top condition with minimal downtime; analyze game play data and ticket payouts while keeping the gameroom and surrounding areas clean and guest ready.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
  • Must have a high‑school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (RVP approval may allow hiring at the age permitted by local law for selling, ringing up, checking identification, and serving alcohol).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience managing people, preferably in the food service industry, or experience as an Opening Coordinator for at least six (6) months.
Essential Job Functions and Work Environment
  • Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0–50 pounds during the scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk, and squat during the scheduled shift.
  • The work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and exposure to non‑weather related wet, humid, extreme heat, and extreme cold conditions.
