Job description

An Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager, Shift Leaders, and Team. They perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence, focusing on floor operations and Brand Training programs. They lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent guest experiences, operational excellence, and help build profitable sales for a single restaurant. They assist in managing the restaurant according to Dunkin’ standards, franchise policies, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Able to perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members
  2. Lead team meetings alongside the Restaurant Manager
  3. Oversee Brand Training Programs, including scheduling, training, validation, and certification of staff
  4. Ensure execution of Brand standards, recipes, and systems
  5. Foster a guest-focused culture
  6. Review guest feedback and implement improvements
  7. Communicate restaurant priorities and results to the team
  8. Assist with new product rollouts, including training and sampling
  9. Ensure POS and store setup meet Brand standards
  10. Maintain a safe and healthy environment, complying with safety and sanitation laws
  11. Control costs to maximize profitability
  12. Conduct periodic inventory checks
  13. Support in staff scheduling and deployment to meet demand
  14. Assist with supplier and vendor orders
  15. Conduct self-assessments and develop action plans
  16. Help ensure the restaurant meets budget goals
  17. Manage cash handling according to policies
  18. Engage with Dunkin’ Brands Field Operations as needed

Management Responsibilities Include:

  1. Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members
  2. Assist in performance appraisals
  3. Coach staff to improve sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Basic math and financial management skills
  • Leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality
  • Analytical skills and business acumen
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Reliability, honesty, and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Ability to train and motivate others

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
