About the Role

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) oversees all restaurant activities during their shift, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional guest service, and adherence to company standards. They support the management team in staff management and financial performance, playing a pivotal role in policy implementation, safety standards, and fostering a positive work environment. As the GM's right hand, they assist in decision-making, training, and maintaining overall restaurant efficiency and profitability. The AGM will assist in executing limited GM duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate self-awareness, motivate self and others, and seek feedback proactively.
  • Understand the impact of responsibilities on guests, team, and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards for service, food quality, and safety.
  • Create a supportive environment for team members and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Manage sales, labor, cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards.
  • Plan and execute shift operations following company guidelines for cost control.
  • Lead with empathy, fairness, and focus on teamwork, developing future talent.
  • Apply financial understanding to improve decisions and ensure cash handling compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Coordinate staffing, inventory management, and administrative duties.
  • Identify trends and implement action plans for long-term sales growth.
  • Motivate and train team members, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Support business success through hands-on duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; restaurant management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish helpful. Basic reading, writing, math, and computer/POS skills required.
  • Previous fast food management experience required.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage metrics, product specs, and management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, calmness under pressure, discretion handling confidential info.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations and work multiple stations.
  • Positive attitude, respectful treatment of others, and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, accountable, and reliable with dependable transportation.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks.
