Job summary

OnTarget Executive Search, on behalf of a luxury hospitality partner, is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for a Forbes 5-Star hotel in Los Angeles County. The role requires overseeing daily operations, ensuring top-tier service, and leading a high-performance team in a fast-paced fine-dining environment.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in restaurant management within luxury settings, hotel/resort experience, and proficiency with Toast and OpenTable, plus ServSafe and TIPS

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of restaurant management in a fine dining environment.
• Experience in hotel/resort restaurant management is required.
• Prior Forbes 5-Star hotel experience highly preferred.
• Proficient with Toast and OpenTable.
• Current ServSafe and TIPS certifications are required.
• Ability to push/pull/lift and carry ~30 lbs during shifts.
• Polished presence with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during shifts and cover open/close procedures.
• Handle guest relations and professionally resolve concerns about food quality or service.
• Train, coach, and evaluate service staff while maintaining standards.
• Manage inventories, cash receipts, staffing levels, and labor costs.
• Maintain hotel standards and Leading Quality Assurance expectations.
• Collaborate with culinary team to ensure seamless service and assist with events.
• Ensure equipment is clean and well-maintained and manage deliveries.
• Provide comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
• Support tax savings via Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
