Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations with the Restaurant General Manager.
• Lead from the floor during service, upholding luxury service standards.
• Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house staff.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure polished and personalized service.
• Build guest relationships, recognize preferences, and address concerns.
• Coordinate with culinary leadership for floor-to-back-of-house communication.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, payroll, inventory and purchasing.
• Monitor revenue, labor and expenses to improve profitability.
• Maintain restaurant presentation, cleanliness, food and beverage quality, and ambiance.
• Support beverage programming, menu rollouts, events, VIP experiences, and seasonal initiatives.

SkyBridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with a premier luxury hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to identify an experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join the property's Food & Beverage leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a sophisticated, high-touch environment and enjoys being highly visible on the floor. The Assistant Restaurant General Manager will work closely with the Restaurant General Manager, culinary leadership, and hotel leadership team to oversee daily operations while ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
• Lead from the floor, maintaining a strong presence during service and ensuring consistent execution of luxury service standards.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure the team is prepared to deliver knowledgeable, polished, and personalized service.
• Build relationships with guests, recognize preferences, resolve concerns, and create memorable dining experiences.
• Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless communication between front- and back-of-house teams.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Monitor revenue, labor, expenses, and other key operating metrics while identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
• Maintain high standards for restaurant presentation, cleanliness, food and beverage quality, and overall ambiance.
• Support beverage programming, menu rollouts, special events, VIP experiences, and seasonal initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service regulations.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous restaurant management experience within a luxury hotel, resort, fine-dining restaurant, or highly regarded upscale hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of elevated food and beverage service standards.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop hospitality teams.
• Excellent guest-relations and service-recovery skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of restaurant financials, labor management, scheduling, and cost controls.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively alongside culinary and hotel leadership.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
