Job Title: Assistant Residential Program Manager

Location: Pembroke, MA 02359

Salary: $24/hour

Summary Of Position

Perform a variety of duties to assist the Program Manager for an assigned residential housing unit which includes: supervision of staff; clinical requirements; administration; physical upkeep; program requirements.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide daily supervision and support to staff, participate in staff selection, and coordinate and provide staff orientation and training.
  • Schedule employees to ensure appropriate staff ratios within the program.
  • Ensure clinical, programmatic and administrative records are accurate and up to date, including required certifications, completion of mandatory trainings, reports, budgets and accreditation reviews. Maintain NEV systems for accounting of household and personal funds.
  • Champion teamwork among staff and individuals served by promoting effective communication, supporting day program activities, and providing feedback to supervisor.
  • Oversee the menu planning process, submission of menus and overall compliance with nutritional guidelines. Maintain clean, neat and orderly facility.
  • Assist in creating and participating in programs, services and activities for all house residents. Assist with scheduling and coordination of services delivered by outside resources.
  • Ensure an environment that supports the needs of individuals including: behavioral management, coordination of rehabilitation plans, teaching plans, monitoring medical treatments, data collection, individual involvement in routine tasks and personal enrichment activities.
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships with families/guardians of residents; monitor advocate interaction with families/guardians. Promote human rights and participate in ISP and other client specific meetings.


Perform other similar duties as responsibilities necessitate or as requested by supervisor.

Knowledge And Experience Required

HS Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two years of previous related experience, and one year of lead or supervisor experience required, or equivalent.

Skills And Abilities Required

  • Performs diversified housing unit and programmatic duties requiring the use of a wide range of procedures and the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and situations and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of accepted practices.
  • Inside contacts involving discussions where tack is required to avoid friction and obtain cooperation.
  • Work with confidential data such as individual case records which if disclosed inadvertently could have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
  • New England Village is a non-smoking facility.
  • Valid Mass driver’s license with a suitable driving history.
