Job summary

STV Incorporated in Chicago, IL seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer to oversee highway, bridge, and rail projects from conception to closeout. You will ensure contractor submissions meet contract docs, specs, and regulatory requirements, and manage daily reports, RFIs, and change orders.

The role requires a PE with 8+ years or CCM with 10+ years, with on-site work ability and strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• PE license required or CCM with extensive experience.
• Experience on transportation infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of CEI processes, contract administration, and docs.
• Valid driver's license and on-site work ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct highway/bridge, facilities, or rail projects from conception to closeout.
• Review contractor submissions for compliance with docs, specs, and regs.
• Manage project docs: RFIs, submittals, daily reports, change orders.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, progress, and critical path; mentor inspectors.
