Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. (IEI) seeks an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team for a Port Authority of NY&NJ project at JFK Airport.

The role focuses on coordinating with facility staff and stakeholders to ensure smooth progress with minimal disruption to operations. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, with PE license preferred and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Ten years of relevant experience preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer license is preferred.
• Ability to support non-standard work hours including potential nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating with JFK Airport Facility, operations personnel, and stakeholders to minimize impacts to airport operations.
• Review submittals and forward to design staff for technical review.
• Prepare transmittal letters accepting or rejecting contractor submittals.
• Monitor schedules, change orders, and weekly reports; identify cost-saving ideas for the client.
• Supervise and mentor field staff and ensure proper installation and documentation.
