Job summary

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey project at JFK Airport.

This role supports project coordination across civil engineering disciplines, construction oversight, and documentation management. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with a PE license preferred and OSHA 30-hour certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering from an accredited program.
• Active registered Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Ability to support non-standard hours including nights and weekends as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating with JFK Airport facilities, operations personnel and stakeholders to minimize impacts on operations.
• Review submittals and coordinate with design staff for technical review.
• Prepare transmittal letters accepting or rejecting contractor submittals.
• Monitor schedules, change orders, and weekly reports to ensure accurate project documentation and cost control.
• Supervise field staff and ensure proper installation and documentation of construction work.
• Review project plans, specifications, and addenda and monitor ongoing field activities.
• Assist in maintaining project progress communication with the designated point of contact.
• Review daily field inspection reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare cost estimates for Extra Work Orders and related changes.
