Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 8–12 years of transportation construction experience.
Responsibilities
Assist the Resident Engineer with management and coordination of daily construction inspection activities.
Supervise field inspection personnel and coordinate inspection coverage for contractor operations.
Monitor contractor operations and construction progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
Review Daily Inspection Reports (DIRs) and quantity documentation prepared by inspectors.
Assist with preparation and review of progress payment estimates, change orders, and contract modifications.
Assist with review of contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.
Coordinate maintenance of traffic operations and work zone safety compliance.
Monitor compliance with stormwater permits, erosion and sediment control plans, and environmental regulations.
Assist with coordination of utilities and public space requirements within the District.
Act on behalf of the Resident Engineer when delegated.
