Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Resident Engineer with a P.E. to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection team in Washington, DC. This role involves managing construction projects while mentoring our inspection teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience in heavy civil infrastructure construction, along with a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering. A competitive salary range of $60-$100 PH is offered, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and more.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience managing heavy civil infrastructure construction.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
• Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage, build and develop construction inspection teams.
• Serve as a communication liaison between stakeholders.
• Track project schedule and make recommendations.

Skills

Managing heavy civil infrastructure construction

Construction management in roadway, utilities, and structures

Reading & interpreting roadway plans & specifications

Understanding contractor means & methods

Understanding of QA/QC processes

Familiarity with interpreting contract specifications

Functional computer usage including MS Office

Knowledge of project controls (CPM scheduling, cost estimating)

Education
