Job summary

Infra Tech Engineering, LLC seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) to lead on-site construction management and inspection activities for multi-discipline tenant construction programs in Elizabeth, NJ. The ARE will report to the Resident Engineer and coordinate with facilities, operations, and stakeholders to ensure projects comply with plans, codes, and safety standards.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of field inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, TWIC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience inspecting construction work, varying in size and complexity.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must obtain and maintain TWIC and security clearances.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification with related training.
• Willing to work weekends and night shifts when required.
• Proficiency with eBuilder and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day Construction Manager for assigned projects, reporting to the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with facility, operations personnel, and stakeholders to minimize operational impacts.
• Interpret contract documents and administer contract provisions to ensure successful completion.
• Advise on contractor disputes and assist in resolution through contract processes.
• Supervise field staff and ensure accurate project documentation.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and field inspection reports for accuracy.
• Track work items and costs; prepare cost estimates and reports.
