Infra Tech Engineering, LLC, headquartered in New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer for NJ Ports. The role oversees construction management, inspection, and closeout activities on Tenant Construction and Application Program (TCAP) projects in Elizabeth, NJ.

The incumbent will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance with plans, permits, codes, and Port standards. Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years of field inspection experience on

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience inspecting construction work of varying size and complexity.
• Ability to obtain/maintain TWIC badge and pass security checks.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification is required; training in fall protection, MPT, confined space entry.
• Willing to work weekends and night shifts when required.
• Proficiency with eBuilder and Microsoft Office Suite; strong project documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day Construction Manager for assigned projects, reporting to the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with Facility, operations personnel, and stakeholders to minimize operational impact while progress continues.
• Interpret contract documents and administer contract provisions to enforce policies for project completion.
• Advise Resident Engineer on contractor disputes and assist in issue resolution.
• Supervise field staff and ensure accurate project documentation and submittals.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and daily reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare cost estimates for Extra Work Orders and field changes.
• Review contractor payments and assist in monthly progress and financial reporting.
