Job summary

UCP Long Island in Ridge, NY is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee a residential program for individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You'll lead a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals, provide coaching, and step in for the Residence Manager when needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 6 months of related experience.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1-year licensed driving experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operation of a residential program.
  • Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals.
  • Ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
  • Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates regarding resident progress and well-being.
  • Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the implementation of individual goals, plans, and services.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
  • Help ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise.

About the Role

As an Assistant Residence Manager, you'll help oversee a Residential program that supports individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Working closely with the Residence Manager, you'll ensure residents receive exceptional care and support while helping lead and develop a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals. You'll also step into a leadership role when the Residence Manager is unavailable.
