Essential Functions:
  • Assisting in maximizing the functioning of mentally/physically handicapped adults.
  • Ensuring quality services to all residents.
  • Assigning work to DSPs and overseeing Shift Supervisors.
  • Providing staff supervision and oversight in the absence of or alongside the Residence Manager.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on treatment/behavioral plans.
  • Monitoring staff to ensure goals and behavioral support plans are implemented correctly.
  • Attending meetings at schools or day treatment programs and communicating professionally with them.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in OPWDD-related fields, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong written, verbal, and computational skills.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate work and meetings.
Skills:
  • Ability to articulate company philosophy and goals.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently within guidelines.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Physical care for clients, including bathing, feeding, and restraining if necessary.
