Description

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of either an ICF and/or IRA setting serving individuals with various levels of developmental disabilities and medical conditions.

Essential Functions:

• Assisting in maximizing the functioning of mentally/physically handicapped adults.
• Ensuring quality services to all residents.
• Assigning work to DSP staff and overseeing Shift Supervisors.
• Providing staff supervision and oversight of the residence in the absence of or along with the Residence Manager.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on treatment/behavioral plans and overall care.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Residence Manager.
• Monitoring staff to ensure goals are met according to methods and behavioral support plans.
• Attending meetings at schools and/or day treatment programs as needed.
• Communicating professionally with external programs and agencies.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field, preferred.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an OPWDD-related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in residential, health, or treatment settings preferred. Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills are required. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and evenings, is necessary.
