Job summary

The Arc of Westchester in White Plains, NY is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager (IDD) to lead direct care staff and oversee residential programs in a group home setting.

You will ensure residents' physical, social, emotional, communication, safety and independent living needs are met, implement policies, advocate for residents, and maintain accurate documentation with teams and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in residential settings with IDD beneficial.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

Do you have a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and a desire to lead? The Arc of Westchester is seeking dedicated and experienced Assistant Residence Managers to join our team.

In this leadership role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of our residents. You'll provide direct oversight to direct care staff and collaborate with supervisors to manage all aspects of our residential programs in a group home setting.

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma, Associate's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
• A valid NYS driver's license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a residential setting providing services for individuals with IDD.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
