Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time Assistant Regional Manager for the Transportation business unit in St. Louis. This role requires 10+ years of experience and a proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities include directing engineering plans, PS&E development, transportation analyses, and coordination with municipal, county, and state agencies. A PE license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Proficient with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Valid driver’s license and successful background check.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff of all levels.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Lead a team to develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Lead general transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and feasibility studies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed Professional Engineer
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Critical thinking and analysis
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Must complete a background check

SALARY RANGE:

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $105,000 to $165,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
