ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Assistant Quality Specialist – I for an onsite 12-month contract with a major pharmaceutical company in Wilson, NC. The role focuses on routine laboratory testing of incoming components in a GMP environment, with data entry, investigations, and basic instrumentation troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has an science/engineering background (or equivalent) and a willingness to learn, with familiarity in GMP documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree in Science or Engineering, OR an Associate degree with 3 years of pharmaceutical experience, OR a high school diploma with 5 years of pharmaceutical experience
• Good knowledge of GMP documentation
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, procedures, and equipment
• Good team mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing of incoming components
• Utilize testing equipment including calipers, Magna Mike, FTIR, and balances
• Enter data into Labware
• Participate in investigations and root cause analysis sessions
• Conduct minimal troubleshooting of instrumentation issues
• Participate in the daily tier process

Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Assistant Quality Specialist – I for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Wilson, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This is an entry-level position focused on routine laboratory testing of incoming components such as HDPE bottles, foils, films, and plastic caps. The role involves data entry, participation in investigations, and troubleshooting instrumentation issues within a GMP-compliant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong team mindset and knowledge of GMP documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory testing of incoming components
• Utilize testing equipment including calipers, Magna Mike, FTIR, and balances
• Enter data into Labware
• Participate in investigations and root cause analysis sessions
• Conduct minimal troubleshooting of instrumentation issues
• Participate in the daily tier process

Requirements:

• B.A./B.S. degree in Science or Engineering, OR an Associate degree with 3 years of pharmaceutical experience, OR a high school diploma with 5 years of pharmaceutical experience
• Good knowledge of GMP documentation
• Ability to quickly learn new processes, procedures, and equipment

Desired skills:

• One year of pharmaceutical industry experience
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge in the use of GLIMS
• Experience using calipers and table top scribers
• Experience using an FTIR
• Familiar with ANSI sampling plans and how to apply them
• Good technical writing skills for revising procedures and writing quality notifications
• Some experience in audit scenarios (internal and agency audits)

Pay range:

up to $39.92 per hour
