Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Analytical Scientist for an onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company in West Greenwich, RI. This 12+ month contract role focuses on analytical support and technology development impacting process and product development teams.

You will run analytical assays, document results, follow SOPs, and operate laboratory equipment in a collaborative environment. Requires lab experience and GMP/non-GMP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physical, Life Sciences or related field with 2 years of experience OR an Associate’s with 4 years OR HS diploma with 6 years of experience.
• Experience performing analytical testing such as Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), HPLC, or ELISA.
• Proficiency with Empower software.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Run analytical assays including Capillary Electrophoresis and/or Chromatography.
• Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebooks.
• Follow SOPs in a team environment.
• Operate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities.
• Comply with safety guidelines and site procedures.

Job Description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Analytical Scientist for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in West Greenwich, RI. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As the candidate for this largely laboratory-based position, you will be responsible for driving cutting-edge analytical support and technology development impacting process and product development teams. You will work cross‑functionally and across Process Development sites as you use analytical science to help drive efficient development and scalable understanding of processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Run analytical assays including Capillary Electrophoresis and/or Chromatography
• Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebooks
• Follow standard operating procedures in a team environment
• Operate specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities
• Comply with safety guidelines and site‑specific procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physical, Life Sciences or related technical discipline and 2 years of experience OR an Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience OR a High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
• Experience performing analytical testing such as Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), HPLC, or ELISA
• Proficiency with Empower software
• Must be a team player

Desired skills

• Strong theoretical understanding and hands‑on experience in analysis and support of process development/scale‑up activities in GMP and non‑GMP environments
• Experience with a broad array of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques
• Ability to produce quality results under minimal direction
• High energy individual who can multi‑task and handle a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment

Pay range

up to $24.41 per hour
