GSF Properties in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day operations of our apartment community. You will assist with leasing, resident relations, rent collections, and administrative tasks to help maintain high occupancy and resident satisfaction.

This role offers a schedule of 36 hours per week, with pay from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour DOE, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, paid holidays and

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Leasing, property management, or affordable housing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn new software.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, or similar property management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of the apartment community.
• Support leasing activities, including tours, applications, move-ins, and resident retention efforts.
• Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
• Respond to resident inquiries and help resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with rent collections, notices, and resident account management.
• Maintain resident files, reports, and property records accurately.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and support office operations.
• Partner with the Property Manager to achieve occupancy, leasing, and performance goals.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure service requests and resident needs are addressed.
• Promote a positive living environment while upholding company policies and community standards.
