Job summary

Dweck Properties in Virginia is seeking an Assistant Property Manager (APM) to drive operations across leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and financials. You’ll help maintain a high-touch community, promote renewals, and lead a motivated team under the Property Manager.

Key duties include achieving financial objectives through rent collections, conducting informative tours, coordinating with maintenance, mentoring staff, and stepping in when the Property Manager is absent.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Property Manager or Senior Leasing Consultant role in multi-family properties.
• Knowledge of Landlord/tenant, ADA, and fair housing laws.
• Experience with Property Management systems such as Yardi or Nexus.

Responsibilities

• Manage rent collections and reduce delinquency; assist with bookkeeping and budget management.
• Lead sales and marketing initiatives; conduct informative tours to secure leases.
• Foster positive resident interactions and oversee renewals and requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Maintenance team to address needs and maintain property appearance.
• Train and mentor staff; ensure team stays current with required trainings; step in for PM when necessary.
